It was my graduation ceremony on tuesday. Was rather good fun getting dressed up, and getting taken out for two meals on the same day.
The ceremony itself seems to pass quickly when you are part of it, before you realise it you have been tapped on the head with the cap, and are walking back to your seat.
Definitely something I’d like to be part of again ;o)
Update:More pictures can now be seen on my Flickr
Got an email today to say that I have done enough to graduate with a Bsc in Ordinary Sciences. While being good news, it does however mean that I have to do something for the next year, then I’ll have a go at a Masters.
Better get on with my Blog rewrite then…

I saw the above written on a desk yesterday (Click for a bigger and clearer version). To save your eyes I have this handy transcript of it…
7 8 Habits of Highly Successful People
- Skiing.
- Snorkeling.
- Yachting.
- Shopping.
- Holidaying in Aruba.
- Drinking champagne.
- Cow-tipping.
- Kicking poor people.
Sounds like a standard easter break holiday in Aruba to me, except perhaps for the skiing and the cow-tipping (Do they have cows in Aruba?).
Yet another quality piece of desk vandalism from an Edinburgh University lecture theatre. Made me laugh in my astronomy lecture anyway!
Oh yeah, the guy obviously got bored halfway through, as ‘Alltogether now! YMCA!’ appears randomly, skewing the items of the list!

The Edinburgh University student radio station, Freshair, is back on-air! The started broadcasting online yesterday, and are set to continue until the end of february. Hosting a mixture of programs, it is always worth a listen, even for those into more alternative music. There are various streams available on their webpage.
You might remember me mentioning an open-source app called blender 3D, well today I finally got round to giving it a shot. My previous experience of 3D apps was limited to playing around with Maya, not really doing that much. Following one of the tutorials in the Blender 3D Wikibook I created this:

I won’t be giving DivineError a run for his money anytime soon, but it’s a start!
Had my first of two exams this week, Astronomy. Seemed pretty easy to me, but we’ll see what the results say!
Being a student I enevitably end up with textbooks that I no longer require. For this reason I have the following books available in amazon z-shops:
All books now sold, sorry

Decided to cut my hair the other day, no.8 at the top no.4 on the sides. So I did as much as I could myself in the mirror, then called the wonderful Ms Keri to finish the rest off for me.
I gave her the no.1 guard thinking that she would use it blade first into my head to trim round my ears. So guess what, she cut blade across! Doh! I shaved the whole lot off, so I’m now a no.1 all over as you can see in the pic.
Got my new Howies ‘Play’ t-shirt today, took my mind off the essay I spent the whole day writing. On the upside I’ve finished it 4 days early, and can concentrate on all that other work I have, bah!
Being back at university is ace, all my courses are ones that I chose, so I know I’m going to enjoy them, or at least be interested in them.
Was also good to see all the Uni bike club guys again. Few new members as well, so our ‘Tour De Edinburgh’ pub crawl this week should be good for the banter!
First day back at Uni today, was rather unexciting to say the least! Will say more when I have time…..Good to be back though.
